Yu-Gi-Oh! cards are reprinted often. Use the printed set code to narrow the search, then compare rarity, edition, artwork and language to the copy in your hand.
Start with the printed code
Search the code beneath the artwork or near the card text, then verify the result with the set name. Matching a name without its code can bring back a different release with a very different market price.
Check rarity and edition
Two cards may share the same name while differing in foil pattern, rarity or edition. Inspect the physical card under good light and keep those details with the saved entry. If you cannot confirm the variant, hold off on using its estimated value.
Compare like-for-like sales
A listed price is an offer, not proof of a sale. Use recent sales of the same code, rarity and condition, and remember that catalog coverage can vary across releases and languages.
